Autumn Chill | 9.23.25

Fall is my favorite season! Now that it is finally fall, I can’t wait for the cooler weather, sweaters, and soups. There’s something calming about the crisp mornings and evenings, and the temperate days here in Michigan. Great time for reflection, sitting still, and preparing for the upcoming winter months. Since we started gardening this year, we are looking forward to setting up our garden for fall planting and prepping the beds/pots for next season.

Joyful!

Life has been chaotic the past five years, for everyone that is. One thing I have learned over these years is that life is also too short to settle. I gained so many wins and blessings, that life started to seem better. I felt lighter and happy in general. I let go of a lot of things I had no control over, so I took control of what I could…me. I started to attract things and people with similar mindsets and energy. I am in such a better place and now I want to celebrate joy any chance I get.

I was in a workshop and the topic of gratitude was the focus. It was mentioned to do something that brings yourself joy, no matter what that looks like, but music came up. So I said that I would make a joy playlist because music always makes me happy. So here it is!!

Fall Chill | 10.24.24

Fall is my favorite season. The crisp sweater weather, the changing leaves, and soups and stews. My boyfriend was making fun of my feet being cold and called me “popsicle toes” and it immediately made me think of Michael Franks’ song of the same name. With the change in the weather and finally turning the heat on, I played “Popsicle Toes” in the car and let the my playlist chose the rest. Here is a wonderful list of some of the songs that followed.

Momma Inspired | 3.30.24

I love music, hence the playlists, and the person who introduced me to music is my mother. I was exposed to an array of music styles and artists growing up, and even now I strive to find unknown and unique artists and songs that speak to my overall aesthetic. Music is something I listen to everyday and randomly have in my head (I swear I’m going to make a playlist of the songs that pop into my head randomly). Well, this playlist is inspired by my mom and some of the songs that she either introduced me to, loves herself, or just make me think of her. I know it’s not Mother’s Day or anything, but you don’t need a special holiday to honor your parents.
